Artist's Comments

I promised to explain what I meant by this drawing when I started this drawing as a WIP, once finished. So here we go:

The dream of every girl is to have her own family, husband and kids.

She waits for the so called dream prince but he does not show up!!

Days continue to pass and the dream get delayed, but the hope is still there. Until she reaches a certain age and the dream becomes more to the impossible side.

We say, in this part of the world, "She missed the marriage train".

This might not be relevant for most of you due to the cultural difference, that's why I enjoyed reading a lot of beautiful interpretation for this drawing during the process.:)

The reason why it took me so long to update from latest update is that I am participating in the traditional art contest and I had to work on my entry and leave this aside. So, wish me good luck...;)

Many thanks to all of you for the support during the WIP.

This turned out really well. It's so detailed, especially the hair, and the concept's great.

absolutely brilliant! i love how it can be interpreted in different ways - that is truly when you know you've accomplished something: when a piece of art becomes meaningful to someone else too:) i wish it was a little larger, though;)
like i said, excellent work!
